What are the shoes made of?

The Leather:
There are many different textures of leather, depending on the way it has been treated.
Suede is a split of leather, which means it comes from the middle of the leather, not the top. It has a soft nap.
Nubuck has a very soft nap, even softer than suede, that holds vibrant colors. Top-Grain shows the natural texture of the leather. It is similar to the leather used on car seats.
Waxed Nubuck is like regular Nubuck except it is slightly shiny and is more water resistant. It is actually waxed.
Metallic and Pearlized leathers have a thin foil applied to the surface to give it a specific shine.
Patent leather is characterized by its shine. Ultra-shiny leather is achieved by coating it with a plastic material and polishing it with rollers.
All our leathers are formaldehyde free.

The Hardware:
Colored buckles and eyelets are enameled metal. Silver buckles are nickle, gold buckles are brass. All-natural crepe rubber or vegetable tanned leather soles
What if a buckle breaks, rivet pops off, or the sole peels?
We proudly offer a lifetime craftsmanship guarantee against stitching, lost flowers or crystals, broken buckles, soling, and other craftsmanship errors. If you need something repaired as a result of a mishap (part cut off, dog chewed the shoes, etc.) we can probably repair it, just send a picture and get a repair quote (typically about $10).

PLEASE INCLUDE a note with the problem, an email address, a phone number, and a return mailing address. Otherwise we cannot guarantee returning the fixed product.

Product attributes:
Our leathers are high quality top-grain, suede, metallic, patent, and nubuck. Our metal parts are steel or brass, our crystals are Genuine Swarovski.
